Puzzle size 685 x 490mm 1000 piece puzzle. Launched on 4th December 1937, The Dandy was an immediate success and its companion, The Beano followed on 30th July 1938. Big Eggo, the ostrich that would eat anything and everything was on the cover of the very first issue of The Beano until he was knocked off his perch by Biffo the Bear in 1948, who was in turn ousted by Dennis the Menace in 1974! This puzzle has a montage of front covers showing Dennis Korky the Cat and Desperate Dan to mention a few of the favourites!
